Is paco amoroso gay
I love live music, and I love seeing musicians overcome the challenges of their surroundings by making creative choices that elevate and expand on their artistry. So, I’ve always been an easy highlight for NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts.
When former NPR host and producer Bob Boilen launched the series at his literal “tiny” desk in 2009, I’m not sure if anyone expected the YouTube feature to blossom into the cultural force it’s become. In the 17 years since Boilen and crew shoddily rigged that desk with microphones and amplifiers, the Tiny Desk series has birthed over 1,200 modern and original performances from artists who are given nothing but the compact corner of the Washington D.C. NPR office to bring their productions to life. The setup of the space and the realities of performing in such a claustrophobic environment helps bring out the dynamism of the artists who are chosen to perform there. At the Desk, performers can’t cover behind heavy production, tricks of light, choreography, or electronic beats backing them — all of their talent (or lack thereof in very, very rare cases) is laid plain for us to spot . And that’s exactly why we keep coming support for more.

Meet CA7RIEL, the Unabashedly Comical Crossover Success Story from Argentina’s Trap Scene
When Catriel Guerreiro jumps into his interview with Remezcla, he doesn’t crack any jokes, but he’s so irreverent and startlingly straight to the point that he still turns the supposedly formal conversation into a chucklesome episode. Known as one half of the witty cloud rap duo CA7RIEL and Paco Amoroso, CA7RIEL has built a reputation as an all-around musician— and as an amusing online character. His Instagram profile is crammed with offbeat 10-second pinned stories, abrupt musical improvs, and sneers boosted by silver grills. His common romps seem equally spurred by Slowthai’s selfie game and Bad Bunny’s trend-setting drip—a mischief-breeding combination.
From his social media presence, you wouldn’t think he’s actually one of Argentinian trap’s eminent crossover success stories. His songs with Paco Amoroso allowed him to collect streams by the millions, while landing gigs in Argentina’s indie temples like Niceto Club in Buenos Aires. With Argentina’s trap explosion breaking into the mainstream with artists like Duki, Nicki Nicole, and Paulo Londra, CA7RIEL released his solo EPs POVRE and
Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso: Tiny Desk Concert
This Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, NPR Music celebrates artists from all corners of Latinidad with an 'El Tiny' takeover.
The Argentine power duo Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso breathe validity. They each came up in their own right in an urban scene buzzing with energy, ideas and true ingenuity.
Argentina is a country notorious for unabashed expression. The country has been rocked by some of the most notable music moments in Latin America, from the inception rock en español, to waves of extreme censorship on imaginative expression. Contemporary artists accept nothing for granted when it comes to demonstrating up just as they are, and Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso are two of the most electrifying artists doing so.
While heavily dependent on electronic sounds, they came to play at the Tiny Desk with an arrangement that whipped their usual beats into stirring drum taps and horn harmonies. Everything they touch turns to creative gold, spinning tracks with a unusual silliness and magnetism. Their Tiny Desk is just another stop on the duo's rise.
