Pride event drops Howard Donald over Twitter likes

The singer, 55, has since been dropped from appearing at a Pride festival.
Donald said he was sorry and had "let everyone down" by "my uneducated actions".
The performer had been due to play a solo show at Groovebox's Nottingham Pride Festival event in July.
Groovebox thanked the public for "alerting us to the situation".
According to Pink News, Donald "liked" Tweets that included criticism of a campaign promoting period product inclusivity featuring trans men, and a tweet calling for Disney to be "defunded" for holding a Pride in Concert event in June.
He had also reportedly liked posts by controversial influencer Andrew Tate.
The BBC has been unable to substantiate activity on Mr Donald's Twitter account which has been deleted.
In an Instagram story on Saturday, the singer wrote: "I have made a gigantic error in my judgement (by) liking social media posts that are insulting towards the LGBTQIA+ society and for that, I am deeply sorry and I know I contain let everyone down.

He then told the Reign with Josh Smith podcast there was "a danger" to speculating on social media.
He said: "In the cast, we're all 18 and we have a few people in their early 20s, and even with those older members of the cast, we're all so young, and to launch speculating about our sexualities and maybe pressuring us to come out when maybe we're not ready...

BBC sorry over gay conversion tweet
The BBC has apologised for an online poll that asked whether same-sex attracted conversion therapy is acceptable practice.
BBC Radio Kent tweeted: "TV Doctor Dr Ranj has told breakfast homosexual conversion therapy is akin to psychological abuse; Should gay conversion therapy be banned?"
The Gay Times said BBC radio had "asked the stupidest question".
The BBC deleted the tweet, which it said breached its own guidelines, and apologised for the offence it caused.

'Gay footballer' deletes Twitter account

The account, which began this month, was followed by almost 50,000 people.
Its first tweet claimed the account holder was a professional footballer who had come out to his family and would "reveal his identity soon".
But a day before the supposed announcement, the account tweeted: "I thought I was stronger. I was wrong", before being deleted.
The player would have made history, becoming the first active professional footballer since 1990 to come out as gay while playing in the top four divisions of the English game.
The anonymous Twitter user, known only by their username '@FootballerGay', launched the account by obeying several leading LGBT organisations and media outlets.
He then put out a tweet stating: "I'm a professional footballer, playing for a club in the [English Football League Championship].
"I will be revealing my identity soon, but I am a proud homosexual man, hoping to separate the mould. I am under the age of 23, and today I came out to my family. Soon, I will come out publicly."
