Why Ford’s “Very Gay” Badass Truck Isn’t Woke

It’s typically not my practice to publicly celebrate when my judgements and insights verify correct, as no one appreciates a braggart. But I confess it’s often frustrating to see the media latch on to an issue I called attention to weeks earlier. One such example is Miller Lite’s obnoxious video promoting its program called, “Bad $#!T to Fine $#!T,” where it decried the company’s previous produce ads and those of competitors it deemed sexist and turned copies of them into fertilizer to grow hops for women brewers.

I called out Miller Lite’s video more than a month ago in my commentary about Bud Light’s questionable decision to anoint transgender TikTok trans person sensation Dylan Mulvaney as one of its logo ambassadors. The video, which was released in Rally to celebrate Women’s History Month, has surfaced in recent days and generating controversy because of its antagonistic feminist tone. I’m heartened that even some women found the ad a turnoff. It’s a wonder that anyone, regardless of their gender identity, could watch the video and perceive Miller Lite as a desirable beer.

Engineering exercises in powerplant design which end up against a brick wall are being executed by major automobile manufacturers with programmed regularity. That is, the surface appearance is that the projects cease up against a brick wall. This view comes from those not closely attuned to the function of research and training. The job of searching the unknown, untried and untested voids of engine design is immensely rewarding to a large organization from the knowledge gained.

Very little, if indeed anything, is lost in producing an engine which is never mass-produced. Something is learned. The function of the exercise is served. Ideas are tested, factored and catalogued for future use.

Ford — the third in our series on experimental engines — has their fair share of ideas conceived and nourished behind the "closed door." W. D. "Bill" Innes, the progressive Vice Presid

National Gay & Female homosexual Chamber of Commerce Calls Ford Motor Company Behavior Shameful

Washington, D.C. - This week, the leadership of the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) sent a scathing letter to Ford Motor Company CEO Bill Ford, Jr. in reponse to statements that the company is withdrawing all advertising from GLBT media.

"After years of cultivating relationships, advertising and taking money from LGBT families that supported your firm through the purchase of Ford family vehicles, your recent actions are nothing short of shameful," wrote NGLCC Co-Founders Chance Mitchell and Justin Nelson. The letter came in response to the recent announcement that Ford Motor Company's Jaguar and Land Rover brands will no longer advertise in lesbian, male lover, bisexual, or transgender media.

"It is sad to realize when one of America's cornerstone corporations plays party to homophobia set forward by those on the fringe. Your activity undermines Ford Motor Company's long history of supporting diverse communities and ignores the contributions we build to your corporate bottom line. If these conduct are allowed to position, we will ensure LGBT people are
